MEET MOHAMMAD ARIF

Mohammad Arif has spent more than three decades working at the intersection of community service, social advocacy, and economic justice. As a businessman, community organizer, and long-time Democratic activist, he has championed policies that uplift working families, support immigrants, and protect the most vulnerable.

Born in 1969 and now a proud American citizen, Mohammad built his life in California by listening to communities, helping small businesses grow, and standing with people who felt unheard. His experience gives him a unique understanding of the everyday challenges Californians face—from rising costs to housing insecurity to declining opportunities.

“I know what it feels like to work hard, struggle, and still hope for a better tomorrow. California gave me a chance to build my life, and now I’m running for Governor to make sure every family gets that same chance.”

WHY I’M RUNNING

For too long, hardworking Californians have been struggling to keep up with rising costs while wages lag behind. Families are being priced out of their neighborhoods. Small businesses are closing. Immigrants still lack the support they need. Homelessness continues to rise.

California is at a crossroads.

I believe in a California where:

  • Every family can afford a place to live
  • Small businesses can grow—not struggle to survive
  • Immigrants are supported, respected, and included
  • Healthcare is accessible and affordable
  • Education opens doors—not burdens families with debt

Together, we can restore balance, rebuild opportunity, and make California a fairer place for all.
